Sell your company's work records.

We buy years of email, chat, CRM, support, code and operations records from US companies, de-identify them and license them for AI training. You choose cash, or a larger amount paid on sale.

What qualifies

Records your company created in its own business systems and your admin can export. Their value is in how the work gets done, not in who the people are.

  • Email from company mailboxes
  • Team chat from company channels
  • CRM accounts, deals, activities and notes
  • Support tickets and replies
  • Code repositories with their history
  • Project boards, specs and wiki pages
  • Field service, dispatch and operations records
  • ERP, purchasing and job-costing records
  • Shared documents, spreadsheets and presentations
  • Call and meeting transcripts (text only)

Who we work with

US companies with years of records. Firms of about 5 to 30 staff usually sell together in an industry pool. Larger firms can also sell on their own.

Industries we focus on: software, construction and field services, manufacturing, logistics and freight, the business side of accounting and finance firms, and commercial insurance agencies. Other industries are welcome. The estimate covers them all.

What we never take

We turn these down, or strip them out before anything else happens.

  • Health records
  • Law firms' client files
  • Tax returns prepared for clients
  • Consumer financial records, including personal-lines insurance files
  • Faces or voices in video or audio (call transcripts are fine, the audio is dropped)
  • Chip, aerospace and defense technical data
  • AI assistant logs or output
  • QuickBooks or Xero data
  • Discord
  • Scraped data
  • Data from personal accounts
  • Data whose value is who the people are, such as consumer lists and contact databases

Left out by default

Direct messages, HR and payroll records, anything to or from your lawyers, and anything about a person's health. We remove these before de-identification starts.

Two ways to be paid

After we review a sample, you get both offers in writing. Pick one.

Paid on sale

A larger fixed amount.

  • Paid once buyers have paid us for your data. Payments from more than one buyer count toward it.
  • Most of it arrives within 14 days of buyers paying us. The rest follows a short holdback.
  • If the data has not sold within 6 months, we may offer you a lower fixed amount. You accept it or end the deal.

Cash

A smaller fixed amount, paid soon.

  • Most of it within 7 days of our accepting the data. The rest follows a short holdback.
  • Paid whether or not the data ever sells. That risk is ours.

Both offers

  • Fixed dollar amounts, set in writing before you sign.
  • Each offer lists the volumes it assumes: mailboxes, years, and message or record counts.
  • You pay nothing. We carry the cost of checking, de-identifying and selling.
  • You keep your data and keep using it in your business.
  • You grant us an exclusive license to use the de-identified data for AI training and evaluation, with a 2-year window in which we sign new licenses.

From estimate to payment

  1. Estimate

Answer a few questions. See a range on the spot.

  2. Call and intake

We confirm what you have, which systems it lives in, and that it qualifies.

  3. NDA and sample

You sign an NDA and a service-provider addendum, then upload a sample to a private account we open for your deal. If no contract follows within 60 days, we delete the sample and the account.

  4. Two offers

We review the sample and send both offers in writing.

  5. Sign and export

You pick an offer and sign. Your admin runs your systems' own exports with our step-by-step guides, and uploads them to your deal's private storage. We can walk your admin through it on a screen share.

  6. Confirm what we process

We list what arrived by name, size and type, without reading the content. You confirm which files we may process. Then our checks start.

  7. Checks and de-identification

We remove duplicates, filler, secrets, outside documents and anything on the never-take list, then de-identify what remains.

  8. Your release review

You get a release summary and a sample, with 5 business days to object. Anything you object to is removed.

  9. Payment

Cash: most of it within 7 days of our accepting the data. Paid on sale: once buyers have paid us for it.

Names are replaced before anything is released

Names, email addresses, phone numbers, street addresses, account numbers and one-of-a-kind job titles become consistent placeholders such as [PERSON_12]. Client, product and place names are replaced too. Threads still read correctly.

We measure it. We release a dataset only after our process catches at least 99% of each kind of identifier in each source, and the result passes a re-identification test run by someone outside the deal team.

Your raw data stays yours until you approve the release. Until then we handle it only as your service provider, to check and de-identify it for you.

The full method and how we measure it

Your staff and your customers

Your staff

As part of the deal, you tell your staff using our notice template. It explains what is licensed, what is left out and how names are removed. Direct messages, HR, payroll, legal and health material stay out by default. If you choose, you can set aside part of your payment as a staff bonus pool.

Your customers

Their names are replaced like everyone else's. If a customer or vendor contract forbids sharing, that customer's material is left out. If your privacy policy promised customers you would not share their data, we tell you up front that it does not qualify.

What we need from you

  • An officer of the company to sign.
  • A short call, then a sample under NDA.
  • Your admin's time to run the exports, with our guides.
  • Your staff told, using our notice.
  • Your written promises that the company owns the records, has not licensed them to anyone else for AI training, made the exports with its own admin tools, and that the counts it gave us are accurate.

Closing down or selling the company?

Your records can still be licensed. If the company is in bankruptcy, we buy only through a sale the court approves, and we bring a package the court's privacy review can use: a datasheet, a de-identification plan and the limits on buyers.

Talk to us

Questions owners ask

Is this legal?

Yes, when it is done with care, and that care is our process. A company may license records it created. We take only data your admin exports from your own company systems. We leave out the categories that carry special rules: health records, client tax returns, law firms' client files, consumer financial records, faces and voices. We de-identify to the standard California's privacy law sets for de-identified data, and we screen every buyer under federal rules on foreign access to US data. Your agreement spells out every promise on both sides, and your counsel can review it before you sign.

What about our customers and our staff?

Their names, emails, phone numbers and addresses are replaced with placeholders before anything is released. Direct messages, HR, payroll, legal and health material are left out by default. Material covered by a customer or vendor contract that forbids sharing is left out. You tell your staff before the data moves, using our notice template.

Can anyone be identified from the data?

That is exactly what we test. We release a dataset only after our process catches at least 99% of each kind of identifier in each source, and the result passes a re-identification test run by someone outside the deal team. Every buyer signs a contract never to re-identify anyone and never to contact anyone in the data. If a buyer ever finds something we missed, we fix it in every copy.

Do we lose our data?

No. You keep your data and keep using it in your business. You grant us an exclusive license to use the de-identified version for AI training and evaluation, and you agree not to license the same records to anyone else for AI training during our 2-year selling window. Licenses we sign in that window can continue after it ends.

What if it never sells?

With cash, you are paid either way. That risk is ours. With paid on sale, you are paid when it sells. If it has not sold within 6 months, we may offer you a lower fixed amount. You accept it or end the deal. After 12 months with no sale, either side can end the deal, and we delete the data.

Who buys it?

AI labs, AI data companies and enterprise AI teams that train and evaluate AI models. We screen every one. We do not name them to you, and we do not name you to them. In every dataset your company appears only as a code, and every buyer agrees not to approach you about buying data for 12 months except through us.

How long does it take?

Most of the time goes into your export. Some systems export in hours. A large email export can take up to two weeks to run. Once the data is with us, we run our checks, and you get 5 business days to review what will be released. Most of a cash offer is paid within 7 days of our accepting the data. Paid on sale is paid once buyers have paid us, so its timing follows the sale.

What do you need from us?

An officer to sign, a short call, a sample under NDA, and your admin's time to run the exports with our guides. You tell your staff using our notice. You also promise in writing that the company owns the records, has not licensed them to anyone else for AI training, made the exports with its own admin tools, and gave us accurate counts.

How do you price our data?

From what it is: your headcount, years of history, the systems it comes from, your industry, and the volume and quality we verify. The estimate gives you a range. After we review a sample, we make two fixed offers in writing. Each lists the volumes it assumes. If the volume we verify comes in more than 20% short of that, the offer drops in proportion, and you choose whether to accept it or withdraw.

Do you need access to our systems?

No. Your admin runs the export with your systems' own tools, using our guides. We never ask for your passwords.

Can we back out?

Yes, until you sign the license. An estimate, a call and a sample commit you to nothing. If no contract follows within 60 days of your sample, we delete it. After you sign, you still review the release and can remove anything before it goes out.

We are a small company. Is this worth our time?

Small firms sell together. We combine records from 10 or more firms in the same industry into one dataset. Each firm signs its own agreement and gets its own fixed offer, cash or paid on sale.
